The Fletcher Library has the best of two worlds: 1) a small to medium sized library’s ability to offer personalized services and the ability to respond quickly to changes and new service models, and 2) access to major research sized collections and resources as part of a large university library system.

The Fletcher Library contains nearly 400,000 volumes, has access to 250+ subscription indexes and databases, serves close to 8,000 students, and is part of a larger University Library system that gives students access to major research collections and services.

The advantages of completing an internship at the Fletcher Library are many. One is the small campus and library atmosphere. Librarians in small to medium sized libraries often do a variety of tasks and are more involved in library wide decision making and collaboration. You will have an opportunity to become involved across the library and build some variety into your internship experience.
